About this site

In 2004, NMSU began a branding initiative to strengthen and standardize the look and feel of all NMSU publications and communications. While this initiative covers all media from print to video to billboards, perhaps the biggest impact is felt in NMSU’s Web presence. With many servers across campus and tens of thousands of legacy documents, presenting a unified look and feel for the NMSU Web is a huge job.

The brand.nmsu.edu site was launched in 2005 to house the Web and print templates, downloadable logos and color palette along with instructions how to implement the branding elements.

In 2007, the University moved forward with upgrading its Web site based on comments received from the NMSU community and at the ACANS summit in fall 2006. The intent of the Brand Identity Program site is to provide timely informational and instructional content about online and hardcopy publishing relating to the branding standards. Thanks go to the many Web developers at NMSU, including Rich Chavez, CC Chamberlain, Connie Padilla and Philip Johnson, for their involvement in this long process.

The NMSU Web site is continually growing and evolving to meet the needs of the NMSU community, while incorporating emerging technologies.
